Array ( [sid] => 74344 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ''Philophobia'' [time] => 2004-12-03 23:11:14 [hometext] => This is a new poem that I have wrote recently. For those of you who dont already know the meaning of the title, Philophobia is the fear of love, or the fear of falling in love. [bodytext] => I have been to heaven, I've looked deep into your eyes,
Back when you used to love me, When you took off the disguise.
At that time I felt complete, but the feeling's truly fleeting,
Inside I know, I shall not feel it until our next meeting.

We'll approach eachother slowly, with an awkward, shy smile.
We'll sit and we'll laugh, and reminice for a while.
We'll talk of past times, of the good and the bad,
of the people we knew, and the love that we had.
For a moment we'll be silent, and gaze into eachothers eyes,
And in that one moment, I will once again feel alive.
You'll turn your head shyly, for you again felt that feeling,
And you'll try to change the subject, as you feel your mask peeling,
I'll just sit there silently, I will not say a word,
I'll gaze into your eyes to show you I know what has occured,
You'll say you have to go, but we'll be sure to catch up soon
And I'll smile as your eyes flicker in the early summer moon.
You'll walk off so casual and proud, but baby I know
I know just exactly where you plan to go.

You'll go to the spot where we used to sit,
and gaze at the stars, where we first did admit,
Our feelings of love, what we realized we shared
The spot where you found out, just how much I cared.
You'll sit there alone, and you'll break down and cry,
And your mind with drift back to the day you said goodbye.
The day you took my heart, as fragile as can be,
You shattered it and walked away, leaving only the debris.
You'll think of what I gave to you, a love few men provide,
A love that you ran scared from, A love that you denied.
A love that was so honest, so beautiful and true,
A love that we embraced, a love from which you flew.
As the minutes creep, your cries will peirce the tepid summer air,
You'll look to the grass beside you, and wish that I was there.

Since your retreat, I've spent time searching for what was left behind,
For missing peices of the heart you broke, peices I have yet to find.
I've spent countless hours stitching up the peices I have found,
But I'm no master seamster, my patchworks' not renowned.
Deep inside myself I've known whats missing all along,
But I continue looking, out of hope that I am wrong.
I know that she completes the picture i've tried so hard to mend.
Shes knows that I'm the one she needs, but she'll continue to pretend.
