Death of Innocence

Its almost too comforting when i hear the piano strings, because i know so much more than this, this life of pain that's followed me from golden roads to deep dry streams.
Echoes of a gentle voice warning me of a future broken choice that would deafen me to all my hopes and dreams and blind me of my purities.
A new lie called pulling me towards clouds of fog, never knowing what lies ahead, in this case it was my death, my last true breath, the death of and innocent. Believe it or not innocence did once exist in me, my smile,if i smile will allow you to see.
Instead of black I once wore white, instead of night I once loved day. Instead of grey the clouds never came. Rather than a fight I did once pray, and instead of sorrow, well thats never changed sadness has always been imbedded in my brain. I represent the Death of an Innocent.
Who can I blame?

As strange as you might think it is. I really liked it. Perhaps I'm strange too :) |
