Im no Superman for I cant fly Yet my dreams soar higher than the sky I cant outrun a speeding bullet Yet Im brave enough to smile at Death
Im no Superman for I cant fight Yet my courage fights for what is right I cant leap tall buildings with one bound Yet your love makes my world turn around
Im no Spiderman climbing a wall But Im strong enough to catch your fall I dont have the sense of a spider But Ill keep you away from danger
I dont have Spidermans super strength But Ill love you for a lifetimes length I dont have Spidermans grace and speed Your love gives me everything I need
Im no Batman to own such money But Ill be here to make you happy I dont have a mansion or a cave Still, youre the love whom Ill always save
I dont have Batmans car or his plane But Ill do my best to ease your pain And love you till the end of my days Wearing no mask that would hide my face
Heroes are not measured by their strength But by how much sacrifice they have spent To give up more than fame or money And be the man that they choose to be
Heroes have their own limitations Forever bound by expectations Living life away from being free Were all heroes if we want to be
I cant do the things that heroes do But I wont be me if not for you Im no Clark Kent, nor Peter Parker But I choose to love you forever

It's a poem with a solid vision. Some of the meter and rhyming feels a bit forced on occasion, but on the whole, it feels from the soul and paints its image well. |
