to commune
with divine
or immortal things

wings upon wings
those that live forever
on just a kiss
or a touch of the hand
grazing fingers
and steady gazes

and the absence of light
where such things
are forgotten
and only a breath
can be heard

a breath
that falls with the rain
like drops of water
which cascade down my skin

impenetrable
dark

There is a voice
that falls with the rain
like drops of water
it cascades down
darkness
or
some other
impenetrable black

and dreams
where children speak
