There, Suspended in the photograph, You smiled at me. Even there, Awkwardly frozen. Masking contempt beneath. Existing only with the hope that Suspension might one day cease. And though the insincerity Was blantantly twisted into your smile, I kept you there. And I thrived on that smile. Like some pathetic junkie, I lived for the last drop of artificial feeling, That I could somehow fabricate, In your smile.
