Sultry, tired, moods in sway
Hungry but cant eat again
I bite the empty and chew the limb

How do these patients fit?
Meet my only friend, Amphetamine!
Words sputtered through foamy lips
Ella-Help-Hell - Heloise!

Anger shreds inside our veins
Ignorance prescribes us miles away
Two, or three, and on the street
This is how you nourish the weed
Forgotton once who I was
So I watch your 8th birthday on VH1
A bottle of misunderstood images
Shot down, you are just a hallucinogen

How do these patients fit?
Meet my only friend, Amphetamine!
Words sputtered through foamy lips
Ella-Help-Hell - Heloise!

Im surprised i can even come to say
That i even woke up on this day
And still i breathed in 42-oh!
I quit because i died-but still i smoke
This goes on and you still dont see
This addict that strangles me
In my bed i feed the fiend
but all is well that can be seen

Your a warning label with no precaution
Use at least twice a day and yield agression
Dont substitute from other medication
Be aware of ventalation, violation, and intoxication

Consumers buying prescription-
Eatting is not an option
Thinking is not an option
Sleeping is not an option
Feeling is not an option

Side effects may occure-
Can i please at least feel something again?
I hear my blood pumping-but can i feel again?
Will something cure me from this?
A machine plugged into overdrive-overdose again
Can you please help me feel again?
You make me think i might be able to think again
You make me wonder if could possibly feel again
You make me hurt-you make me feel pain-so i know you can!
I just need a calm inside all this chaos
Will you please put down the rage and look at me?
You see theres no other internal position but rest

How do these old pants fit me???
Meet my best friend, Amphetamine!
Words sputtered through painted lips
Ella-Help-Hell - Hello Ease

This was a good poem, and it read very well. I can see what you were trying to say here, and your thoughtful analogies and metaphors helped emphasize what you wanted to say.

i agree with alec.
"Anger shreds inside our veins

This is how you nourish the weed
Forgotton once who I was
So I watch your 8th birthday on VH1
A bottle of misunderstood images
Shot down, you are just a hallucinogen" this was my favorite part. another original poem that gets your point across wonderfully. i can see why this might be one of your personal favorites.

Geesh - well done! This has "bite" to it (I mean that as a good thing). It's pretty long, but honestly - I didn't even noticed until I scrolled back up - which, means it's not tooo long. Overall, well constructed and an interesting read. I really like how you chose to present this.

Wow,I don'teven know how to comment! That was amazing, one of the best I have read on this site! I absolutely loved it! That was hot! Have you ever seen Requiem For a Dream? If you have that poem reminded me of Sara G., the mother in the movie. If you haven't seen it, see it! It fits your poem very well!
