It whispers dreams in my ear.
My feet brushing against the sweet flowers
That lift me up.
I close my eyes.
I feel like I can fly.
My hair dances with the wind,
Miraculous movements that
Get caught in the glimpse of the
Moons glow.
Beaming on us, highlighting our performance.
My running.
The air’s fragrance brushes lightly on my lips,
I can taste purity,
Innocence.
Its drink is hypnotizing,
I find myself having to lick my lips
To feel again.
The clouds are behind me, above me.
They follow me intently as I glide
Through the field of secrets.
The trees sway heavily in the nights
Captivating romance,
Inviting angels to watch my
Act.
The snakes slither in the grass
Gleaming of fresh dew.
They peer out from their secret world.
To watch me run.
My feet work their way towards
The sky, with every leap
They make
The angels’ faces glow - the light
That can only be described as
Wholesome happiness,
Pouring down like drops of rain.
I grow lighter.
I lift.
Higher.
Higher.
I can hear the snakes
Hissing jealously ,
Rage dispersing from their
Pores.
Their eyes pounce upon my flesh.
I feel it.
They attempt to bite my ankles as
I stream past their hide outs.
To poison my blood -
My dreams.
I run faster.
I lift my eyes to see the sky open up,
Displaying a whole new world
Filled with opportunities.
Surprise becomes me as the sun’s rays
Penetrates the night,
Intertwining with the moons yellow glow.
I’m lifting.
Lighter.
Higher
And finally….

I’m flying.
