I feel awful
for the way
I acted last night.
My sadness
and tears
had nothing to do
with you.
You mean so much
to me,
I'm sorry
if I hurt you.
I really wanted
to be with you,
but my bad mood
wouldn't disappear.
I should have
forgotten about
my rotten day,
I should have
just smiled
and hugged you-
instead of
ruining your night.
I'm sorry.

Wow I have SO been there! Sometimes our moods just get the best of us, don't they? I know I've found myself apologizing to my boyfriend for my weird little moods that have nothing to do with him more than once. Luckily, he always understands. I hope whoever this is for is just as understanding and loving and nonjudgemental! Great write!
