I am suffering from post Xmas blues,
All the cheer has gone away,
With only my heartache left to stay.

Even the snow didn’t make my heart cold,
I tried to stand against it all big & bold,
It worked for awhile which felt so good,
Heart felt warm, like that of burning wood.

I look at the tree with no presents underneath,
To many people this feeling is a relief,
Xmas is over until next year,
I feel quite sad feel like crying a tear.

I wish I could rewind & do it all again,
Wish I could put a hold onto all my pain,
But the snow has melted to reveal my feelings,
I have yet to discover all of their meanings.

I try to smile & tell myself it’ll be alright,
I tried to hold onto the festive season so tight,
But it has gone it has walked out my door,
Leaving me feeling just as before.

Kriss this is really sad, i know what you mean. Once you have a good thing in your life it suddenly dissapears. Once again you wrote this with so much feeling into it that a lot of us can relate to you. Great writing keep them coming.

Tons of Hugs,
Jane x

You have done a great jog of capturing the feelings in this piece. More then that, you present an issue which is prevalent with many people. So you certainly are not alone, as many can relate. When this happens to me, I try to find something else to look forward to.

Great write
Willofree
