I wish I were like you
Then I would be someone to be
There's not a better model to follow
To be fake and be happy that's all that I need
To lie and to die like everyone else
It doesn't mean much but I'd like to be free
Free of the torment that everyone breeds
Just give me a day to give it a try
I'd want to be like you and not how I am
There's nothing like acting like a puppet
A puppet to societies needs
To accept the way things are because that's the right way
No questions at all just living your life
Ignorance is bliss--some people would say
Till you find reality when you are dead
Dead to the world because no one really cares
They are there to lie and to live in a dream
I could not join them even in death
I just wish I could know what it is like
At least for a minute that is all that I ask [comments] => 4 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 13 [informant] => shamateur [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

The more ignorant you are the less aware you are of your surrounding enviroment, so you would have bliss but you would be too stupid to enjoy it..... nice poem though

I've spent a life time trying to be different than normal. Normal is jus a setting on a dryer.
Normal is nuts so I prefer stay ccrraaazzzyy.
U can't survive on this planet being normal.
Very good writing.
Hang tuff u r probably much more real than most folks.
huggs, luv,
emy

I used to be one of the 'normal people' but life didn't want me to be normal I guess
