Elegant Mermaid

She sits upon a rock
overlooking the ocean blue,
she sits there peacefully
and waits for you.
Her long hair flows
in the morning air,
she places her hand in the water
as she quietly sits there.
Her baby blue eyes
shimmer in the morning sunlight,
she needs someone to rescue her
she prays with all her might.
This elegant mermaid
needs a gentle man,
to give her legs to walk with
across God's precious land.
