Elegy to a mermaid.

A cry is lost amid the night a teardrop falls on lonely shore, a cloak of darkness dims her light the love that shone is now no more.
The blood red sunrise signs her name in lines of fire across the sea, to kiss her heart with icy flame for love that can no longer be.
The winds that blow along the sand in whispers of eternity, to touch her lips, and take her hand to take her grief, and set her free.
A gentle zephyr reaches out with arms that softly lift her soul, to blow away the seeds of doubt and once again to make her whole.
To realise she cannot be the one to hold her lovers hand, a princess, captive to the sea can never walk the verdant land...
