Attached to them are long thin strings
Have to have something to keep me standing
May these strings break, it won't be a perfect landing

I'm a puppet that is always used
According to me, I'm being abused
To others, I'm a toy
It wouldn't be bad if I was destroyed

These wings, if they would heal
I could fly away, and break the seal
I wish that I could break these strings
But alas, I wear but broken wings

Strings are all that hold me up
But with these strings, come puppeteers
Puppeteers that know my fears
That make my puppet self burst into tears

Please let my wings soon heal
So I won't have any pain to feel
Dreaming of that day I will get out
To not be something others can throw about

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I fall
But I dare not take a chance at all
If I die, it's all my fault
Maybe someday I'll win by default

I must hold my head high
Someday I will fly
Someday whats broken will eventually heal
Then I can finally break the seal

I dream of that day
When finally, things will go my way
No longer will I have to dream
My eyes will have a brand new gleam

Until that day of triumph comes
I have to be used by these puppeteer bums
Until then, I have Broken Wings
