You stand and wonder why?
How could this world be so cruel to its own mankind?
The rich get richer
The poor get poorer
You lift your hands to the skies above and
Pray for God to send his love
But this world ain't worth anything anymore
The people's hearts have barricaded their doors
We should've done something
When God gave us a chance
We took time for granted
While opportunity made its stance
We turned our backs on the innocent
Money making us ignorant
Now we make false excuses
For these reoccuring abuses
A liar gets lied to
A thief gets robbed from
Ancient ruins get discovered
The wars go on
The strife for success
Is on everyones mind
Beggars can't be choosers
In a world of this kind
One day the pendulum on the clock stops
Will we stand the test of time? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 43 [informant] => mina-1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

wonderful poem, lots of truth is this one. I hope we do stand the test, but we're gonna have to change a few things in order to do it. Solid write.
