Adam,

This is a beautiful tribute to the idealizations of childhood - the perspective from which we viewed our intimate worlds seemed so romantic and simple when we were young. The startling ending to this epic feature induces a sense of fragmentation and numbness, and yet, a mood of reverence and inner peace is manifested in your words. I love this one.

i love the sense of speed shutting down to a boy, now a man, curled up under the covers with one hand under the pillow, the other over his heart. dark, quiet, with a single light. great job, this is moving and sobering. c.
