Array ( [sid] => 80836 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Being An Angel [time] => 2005-01-21 09:11:43 [hometext] => *sigh* Just came up out of nowhere. And yes this has to deal with God. [bodytext] => I can fly with my wings in heaven.
I am with God and his son.
But i regreat to say that,
Being an angel doesn't mean you are happy.
You can feel nothing, hot cold, the wind, or even pain.
You have no heart or body.
We are soul beings who live in heaven.
I wish I could feel.
But like this I cannot.
I live immortally but it is painful.
Not in a way that you would know.
In a way that my life will go on forever.
Never ending, so that is why I wish for these things.
I told God my plight.
He told me, "Child you are ment not to feel. You do not have a body but you have a soul. That is all that matters."
"But if humans can feel with their bodies that you made why can't you make use angels bodies?" I asked.
"It is not for you to understand my working child." he says.
I walk out hiding my face in shame.
"If God cannot even give me a body then who can?"
I look at my hand and then look down to Earth.
"Humans are so lucky to feel." I mutter.
Some angels like me wanted bodies.
Only to be sent to what humans call hell.
Why?
Why cant angels have bodies like humans?
That is what I want to know.
"My child i am sorry but you must go and repent for your sins." I turn around and see that i am covered in the dark light of hell.
"But why? What have i done worng?" I yell as I vanish.
"Angels are ment to be like this. They are already to spoiled as it were. Living in heaven does not come without a price."
He told me as I left.
Now i await judgement day with all the others who wished to feel.
Why is that so bad to feel?
Why not let us become mortal even?
Alot of angels are here like me.
They have been here longer though.
The first one to come here was Lucifer.
He has been here before the Son was on Earth.
We talk too much but alas it is all we can do.
"We'll not be able to go back to heaven we all know that." He tells me his voice old even thought his spirt was still young.
"But if we are not going back t heaven then were do we go?"
"We go to the hell for angels." his voice was full of regret.
"I guess we wish that we never asked for bodies." I say often.
We await our judgment till then we are the confined angels.
We only wanted what the humans get so much funout of.
But what would we know of fun?
We cannot feel. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Seikjo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Nice story, I felt as if it could be a short story instead of a poem. Very well done.
