Within a Vicious Circle
Life goes round and round
Same cycle every day
Unhappiness is found.

Nothing ever changes
Some things stay the same
Alone again as always
Same old useless game.

You start a conversation
And soon it seems to end
It’s over without warning
Left just to try again.

At first it’s going smoothly
And then it fades away
Somehow it never works out
It keeps my words at bay.

Afraid to show more feelings
And just be hurt once more
Left broken down, and injured
And lying on the floor.

Too many chances taken
Too many tears I’ve cried
Can’t keep this up forever
It’s choking me inside.

It may reserve my feelings
If she would come along
And ruin all my chances
I know this would be wrong.

But I have hurt so badly
Don’t want the pain again
The way it felt the last time
I still remember when.

I thought I had found love
But she had to move on
It was the best thing for her
I knew this all along.

But still, a Vicious Circle
That just repeats again
Fall in love, then fall down
It’s how it’s always been.

Spin around and hold on
And watch the world go by
It’s just a Vicious Circle
Why should I even try? [comments] => 0 [counter] => 237 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Joker17 [notes] => [ihome] => 1 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
