The dark comes around
There I stand looking out at the sky
The clouds are drifting by
The stars are twinkling
The moon is in full glow
My mind wonders to where you are
What you are doing
And if you are thinking of me
At times I feel so close to you
That I can reach out and touch the moon
No matter how cold it is
I can feel your warmth and strength
No matter how long it’s been I feel your presence
Then there are times like tonight
The stars are dull
The moons glow is gone
There is nothing but dark dark clouds consuming the sky
I feel the cold the loneliness the despair
I feel so separate from you
I feel I am all alone in these thoughts
Tomorrow is another day
I will try to feel your warmth your compassion
I will try to feel your presence
Hopefully I will hear your thoughts once again
