Topic: oops

Reaching for the sky to remember
Thoughts once forgotten in another place
Carefully he touches you and helps you in your plight
To find another place where you can sleep at night
Holding in his hand you see a small shadow of a man
Recognising in this moment a vision of a land

Once seen whilst you were sleeping
Fearing still, un-believing how you feel
As slowly he takes you to the place where he sat all those many times before
Chosen as you were for your kindness to a stranger
Explaining in time a story of a child in a manger

Showing how it came to be, that time can deceive
Even the learned few like you and me
Helplessly he leaves you there just where you stood
Reaching for an ending, he should have told
As knowing as he was, as young as he was old
Wondering if he could, believing that he should
