I remember the night,
everything was lost.
Your patience, your temper, your control.
My trust in you, my respect for you, and my care for you.
I remember the night,
everything happened.
The first hit you took at her,
was the trust you lost from me.
My respect for you was gone.
I remember the night,
that brings me to tears.
Watching your hands around her throat,
hearing your horrible words.
I could care less for you after that.
I remember the night,
nightmares became reality.
You did something I thought you couldn’t/
I got in your way, and your hands,
they were not around my neck.
From the love and trust as a father figure,
to the hate and fear of a stranger,
is what I feel toward you.
I remember the night,
now feeling afraid,
empty,
and lost.
I’m lucky I get to remember the night.
I’ve blocked it out for so long,
now its time to remember.

I remember the night,
everything was lost.
Your patience, your temper, your control.
My trust in you, my respect for you, and my care for you.
I remember the night,
everything happened.
The first hit you took at her,
was the trust you lost from me.
My respect for you was gone.
I remember the night,
that brings me to tears.
Watching your hands around her throat,
hearing your horrible words.
I could care less for you after that.
I remember the night,
