In the beginning it was all perfect.
All smiles and hugs.
But there was more.
Things my family and friends have seen.
You changed me.
Yet I refused to agree.

Where did it all go wrong?
It wasn’t me and I wasn’t at fault.
Neither were you.
This is why I am confused.

My friends had seen what I refused to.
They told me they knew what you do.
That I should not pay when you’re upset.
That you were hurting me emotionally.
That I had to put an end to it.
But, I did not listen to that.
I want to pretend it would be o.k.

My family trusted you.
When you where the problem.
You convinced the teachers and counselors,
That I was the bad guy.
When I walked in the room.
All eyes are on me.
Things used to be different.
Going class to class with a group of friends.
Something I never thought would end.
But you changed that and it hurt.
You know my friends are everything.

I sat there and watched my life change.
It was spinning out of control.
I don’t want to leave.
I really don’t but I can’t let
It stay the same.

It’s not going to be easy,
But something must be done.
You changed me.
I can’t change you.
But, never forget
I love you.
Good bye
My love
