I saw you bound right off a cliff
The wings did spring and the air did lift
Then you flew into Sister Dark
I thought I saw you light your way
Sister Dark became Sister Grey
You moved to heights so great and stark
Then a thing occurred to me
You had to leave but weren't so free
Your body dropped when I thought it rose
I saw the tears fall from your eyes
You didn't fly; I watched you die
Fall and change into a restless ghost

There is something about your writing that reminds me of my own poetry. I'm guessing there is a lot behind this piece. This almost feels like... processing... learning to accept it through writing it out and letting yourself feel it. (Ok - maybe that is just what happens when I write, lol --- but I swear I get that same feeling here) This is... as I read it... compassion AND pain drawn together. It's very beautiful.
Well done! I honestly don't understand why there aren't more comments here...
