Troubled Water

It all used to be so clear to me
I knew what the world had taken
upon its frail shoulders
an obvious sign of foreseen downfall
The angels have lost their wings
and feathers are raining down on earth
and they cover the world
with a blanket of grief
The tears shed in heaven
for the lost children below
taste of bitter desperation
for the ignorance that is shown
Now love has turned its back
on this corrupted creation
that was meant to be divine
Satan took over
the ruins of mankind
moulding each and everyone as he pleases
messing with their foolish, conceited minds
Continuous temptation
is Satans bait
to draw in all the ones
who had remained
untouched and safe from harm
not yet marked by any pain
their souls neither blemished nor stained
Blind and lost are the ones
who insist on believing
that without any effort of their own
everything will change for the best
The ones who ignore Heaven as well as Hell
who think despite their disbelief in Gods protecting arms
their soul will be laid down to rest

A passionate write- that speaks to what lies deep inside.
And lays before us the freedom to choose,
in the lies of the enmy, or God's perfect truth.

though i'm not much of a god/satan person and all...i liked this poem...had some very good lines in it...good form, i like how you refer to us and the world as the 'corrupted creation' nicely put. overall good job..
