Though my love for you had never been planned
I will keep you with me inside my heart.

It is within this hour that I must part
My hourglass is running out of sand.
Before my death I would like to impart:

We will never completely be apart
I promised to love you forever and
I will keep you with me inside my heart.

I can recall the day my love did start
The feelings I felt when you touched my hand.
Before my death I would like to impart:

Infinite stars Astronomers can chart
But my love for you is just far too grand.
I will keep you with me inside my heart.

The time has come now for me to depart.
With the last breath that makes my lungs expand;
Before my death I would like to impart
I will keep you with me inside my heart.
