from the table by my side
She spoke of all the pain he caused
and how much he had lied
I wondered for a moment
I thought how could this be
This lady I had never met
had a story just like me
The sadness in her voice
made a tear roll down my cheek
Her freind so understanding
as answers she did seek
How could this love she cherished
turn out to be a farce
Her life would never be the same
for he had broke her heart
I turned and looked around
I needed just a glance
To see this one whose story
seemed so like mine perchance
Much to my astonishment
I began to understand
The reason for our sadness
We both shared the same man [comments] => 2 [counter] => 201 [topic] => 43 [informant] => bibi [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Whew! Surprised no one else has commented. Yeah, it's often the same men go off to do it again, isn't it? Sad. But you made a really good story-poem out of it.
Blessings.
