[hometext] => This is true and honestly happened to me recently...it's a shame that people have to lie about anything...i for one am glad that i am an honest person, i stand proud in that....Lies are one of the most hurtful things people can do to another...and in the end have nothing to gain for it....

And with my soulmate together we would grow old
Now as i grew older, thought i found it twice
The one who stood by me and gave me his life
I felt in my heart that we had became one
I'm Yesterday's fool, now it's over and done..
I heard his words how they spoke to my heart
He said i was beautiful right from the start
His words they were filled with such power and pain
I thought he was different, and i wanted his last name
I felt in my heart that he deeply loved me
But i'm not sure how, with the lies he gave me
I don't know what made him talk through his lies
I beleived in his world, for him i would have died
I wanted to die when i saw what he said..
I wanted to build my own red blood death bed
I expected it from another, but not from his lips
He asked for forgiveness, i even gave him this
I didn't want to sit in the other one's seats
Where i'm titled as a friend that he would need
I couldn't be fake as he asked me to do
But it's just who i am, as yesterday's fool...
It's hard when your lied to, to trust another heart
Other people don't deserve this at all from the start
One lie here and there, and then another one to boot
It's a lesson well learned, that's why i prefer truth
I hope one day he finds honesty and truth
I will always refer to him as ..."Tyaboo"...
I don't know why things happen the way that they do
But if you run across a liar, don't be like me...

Very meaningful write, Oreo. Sometimes relationships hurt, and others they dont. We never know if love is leading us the right way.... or leading us to a dead end. Im sure that you will find someone who will cherish being with you every minute. Thanks for sharing you amazing talent.

Wow, this is really good. I really, really, really like this. I cried. You brought the waterworks. And I felt like you pulled me into the poem. Maybe it's because I've been "yesterday's fool", but you made it seem like I was living those lies too. I really like this.

The more of your poetry I read, the more I see myself in you, we have some of the same ideals and principles. For me it is almost impossible to forgive a lie, I don't understand the why of it all, so forgiving even one is difficult to say the least. I have had my heart broken more times than I can count, but the romantic in me won't let me stop trying. Searching for her, seeking the one who believes like I do in honor and truth, is that so much to ask? This poem blew me away, I loved it, the message, the pain, the way you painted the emotions with your pen. I truly enjoy the way you write, thank you so much for sharing and for all your encouragement to others. Face it, you're just a softy. lol

Truth is what creates life, life is what people strive to maintain and conquer over. So then why is it that people feel as though they must lie? It's pointless if you ask me. The truth always prevails and even if it hurts, nothing can hurt as much as an awful surprise from a person you've grown fond of. I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm always here for ya so keep your chin up :)
