This morning when I woke up
I went to check on you
You were cuddled up
On the edge of the bed asleep
Quietly watching you breathe
I had to wonder
If you know
You had my heart to keep

In my eyes
A tear started to flow
And I felt it
Against my cheek
The love I feel
For this boy
Makes my voice shake
When I speak

You’re simply perfect
What a blessing
You have brought
Into my life
I’m so lucky
To have a loving son
And such
A wonderful wife

You two are the reason
I get up
Every morn
And go about my day
To provide for you
To meet your needs
Is a privilege
In every way
