The Elusive Cruel 'Something'

Contributed by acid_lucidity on Wednesday, 9th February 2005 @ 05:41:32 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

about that thing,
that thing that dissappears when you look at it.
the 'something' wrong,
the big question.
it's always there,
and you'll probably never find out it's secret.

decaying organic matter,
be all you can be.
conciousness,
a perversion of chaos.
we are all spiralling into insanity,
so how do we escape?

big brother dances and we watch,
hypnotising and stupefying.
enlightenment isnt a tv channel,
your remote cant help you.
the right numbers haven't been created.
hypnotising and destroying the question.

wanting the answer,
suffering under the pain of the question.
a bullet between the eyes,
leaves a wake of memories.
there is no immortality,
without release from the cage.

an infinite universe,
endless possibilities.
every choice has a path,
every path has a choice.
fate is out of control,
burning to burn.

cant give up,
cant escape,
cant help it stop,
cant change your fate.
cant run,
cant hide,

everything I want is on the otherside.

Great write. LSD can be an awesome experience. I have seen the pattern which binds all together. I have also had the sh*t scared out of me(I tend to have very sensitive vibes)! lol Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the unique write. Much peace to you.

Great. Great. Great. Your voice is very personal here, and I think that helps add depth to this poem. And, yeah, this poem is inspired by LSD, but it resonates on a level that is beyond LSD.....But I think that is the point of the trip...... Anyway, I thought you had some great lines in here.

Great way to start the poem. It's like your talking about something that cannot be expressed, but you are still expressing that. I love it when you find people that know about "that thing that dissappears when you look at it" and I love that you realize that "it's always there" I thought this stanza was almost secretly insightful, that only a few individuals would catch on to.

enlightenment isnt a tv channel,
your remote cant help you.

Sooo freakin funny hahahaha!!! That statement is very true and is well placed in your poem.

an infinite universe,
endless possibilities.
every choice has a path,
every path has a choice.
fate is out of control,
burning to burn.

This might be my favorite part of the poem. It's very well written, flows wonderfully, deep and profound.

everything I want is on the otherside.

You are already on the otherside

*Acid trip revisited*

Be True,
zenmind
