loses tangible grasp of life as the rest of them knows it
and wanders beyond that stitch in time
waiting for light or rhythm or rhyme
***
Stupid girl that she is
she keeps it all within
rattling and building up pressure
tempting an explosion
and they all wait
not paying any attention
***
Stupid girl pacing the floor
fighting panic attacks behind her bedroom door
She huffs and puffs and breathes and cries
and tries to forget what she's dying for
***
Stupid girl that would never listen,
would never give in to her self-inflicted frustration;
kept pursuing the most extraordinary love
even at the cost of the emotional explosion
that's building up pressure
while they all wait outside
Stupid girl that she is
they never saw her cry
She huffs and puffs and breathes
and finally dies

We all get a little stupid now and then, don't we? Or is it the flame is too alluring? You always describe it well.

A great poem to me is one that flows well and I can relate too in some way, and this one hits home, though I pretty shure I'm not a stupid "GIRL" though. great work.

I love it, except I would have prefered a happier ending.
