Array ( [sid] => 83891 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Falling Star [time] => 2005-02-10 22:28:26 [hometext] => [bodytext] => I stand alone waiting for a star to fall,
Or maybe I’ll hear the angels call?
A ray of light will come down,
& lift me high up off the ground.

I have spent my life waiting for help,
Here I have sat on this shelf,
Thinking the world owes me a living,
Never to others showing any forgiving.

I have waited here long enough,
I have gritted my teeth when things got tough,
Held on for such grim death,
Give it my all when I had nothing left.

I must now stand on my own two feet,
Otherwise happiness & I will not meet,
It has taken me a very long time,
To stand on my own & fight for what’s mine.

While I was hiding away from the world,
My star must have fallen & light unfurled,
But I couldn’t see what was in front of my eyes,
As I believed that happiness would be denied.

While I waited I missed so much,
With all my senses I had totally lost touch,
But I can feel them as they regain their power,
& once again they will bloom into a beautiful flower.

My star my love was inside your heart,
I missed this as I was torn apart,
How could I miss you, the man I adore?
I missed my star as I was dying on the floor.

My Dear Pixie,
Such a beautiful write of sad emotions. Your star will NEVER fall from the sky. It is just making a pass around the other side of the world. How do I know this? Because I have been carefully watching it as it passes over me, shining brightly on me.

Hugs My Friend,

The Voice

yes, i agree, a beautiful write with seemingly sad emotions coming through. i love the flow, the natural rhymes
never forget you star, for however long it may seem, love heals all wounds, and maybe your star is just waiting for its time to shine brighter.

Once again you capture the complicated mix of joy and sorrow, the gain and loss experienced and imagined in human relationships.
