Array ( [sid] => 8423 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => THE PARK [time] => 2002-12-12 00:40:00 [hometext] => I wrote this poem one day as I was eating lunch in a park in the midst of a big city. [bodytext] => This particular park is located next to a busy Syracuse city street.
There are very few trees but plenty of sweet smelling flowers, lots of benches to have a seat.

The park is small, but definately a place to go for a silence of serenity.
No matter how big or small a park could be, to collect your thoughts in freedom is the key.

From this place in the park, you see all kinds of automobiles going to and fro,
Different races, statures of all people walking up sidewalks, down sidewalks, crossing streets to get to the destination they know.

You can see tall stuctures and huge buildings all around you.
You hear, and with a watchful eye, see all the busyness of the goings on too.

Yet in the midst of the happenings surrounding you sitting in this park,
There is a true peace inside your soul, knowing you are making some kind of mark.

You seem to be alone in the depths of your thoughts, almost as if you are enclosed in a circle inside this huge ring,
Knowing in your heart, soul, and mind, there is a beautiful song to sing.
