Valentines Day
What a laugh!
I know what I want to say
But the line, Ill have passed
I want to say I love you,
I know its unaccepted
Opportunity has been too few
And now, Im rejected
Card and flowers, Ive received
But I know its a lie
The office helps deceived
I just want to cry
I want to be wanted
Its too much to suggest?
Ive been discarded
Emotions too high a request
I love you for your virtue
And your point of view
You are far from shallow
I know of your value
Why is it that you search for more?
When in truth, its really less
What is it the heart is for,
If not love, to profess?
Knowing in my heart its wrong
Watching the rabbit run
Im still here, where I belong
Watching the setting sun
