Is a life in shame.
Hiding the secret,
From all Humane.
The wish of death that lingers in this redhead,
Is too intense it is tearing me to shreds.
Through the darkness is where I reach,
The blade of happiness, the blade of speech.
Upon my wrist is where it drags,
Freeing these painful emotions,
While going in zigzags.
The blood seeps through as the stinging grows,
In these cuts that are sure to not close.
The scars that will not heal,
Are to remind me that my past was real.
With a trembling hand I wipe away the blood,
My empty soul has had enough.
I need someone to understand,
That I want more from life than always wearing some old wristband.
Shameful thoughts,
As I do it again,
When I realise I am broken, unable to mend.

truly an emotinal poem, i too know what its like to feel regret from cutting, we find it to be the only way to cope and then we also see it as down fall causing probles in its wake but just know that it will all pass some day when you find the strength to not cut and then all will be mended, I wish you the best, be strong and God bless.

this was a good poem I could feel where you are coming from because I have been there too. just know that yur friends will help you when you need them, and we are alway here, just ask. please do post again.

Hi kirsty,

this is very moving, i feel for you. you know i'm here when u need me. Someday you'll not feel the need to cut and when that day comes i'll be there. Not in a stocking way, lol. Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading ur poems and i'm sure others do too.
