SHE STANDS ALONE AMIDST THE CROWD
TO KNOW HER IS JUST NOT ALLOWED
WHO IS THIS BEAUTY OH SO FAIR
WITH DARK BROWN EYES AND BLACKEST HAIR
THAT CAPTIVATES ME WITH HER SMILE
KEEPS ME WONDERING ALL THE WHILE
WHO IS THIS ONE MY EYES DO SEEK
THAT MAKES ME STUUTER WHEN WE SPEAK
THIS LADY FAIR THAT LEAVES ME MUTE
WITH NOT A THOUGHT NOR EVEN CLUE
NO WORDS I FIND DO JUST EXPRESS
FRUSTRATIONS TAKE THE PLACE OF STRESS
AND ALL THE THINGS I WISH TO SAY
LOSE THEIR VOICE ALONG THE WAY
NO MATTER WHAT NOR HOW I TRY
I CANNOT FIND THE REASON WHY
SHE STANDS ALONE AMIDST THE CROWD
TO KNOW HER IS JUST NOT ALLOWED
