than the "word of the lord".
These misfits from my youth
today,
are still heroes,
still legends of they're own.
Power absorbing teens
to
weather controlling Goddesses,
these are the ture messiahs,
true outcasts to this hideous world.
Why do I feel so much a part of they're Universe?
My need to be special
to be more than I am
has followed me through my years.
Who I really am has no mark on this place
my talents seem to be for myself.
Growing inside me is a pulsation,
an expanding of need to be greater than who I am.
I've talked to the wind and it says,
"Hold on. Great things will come your way.
Put trust in my words, follow your heart and mind.
Look within and seek out your path."
The sky says,
"Don't look to be different, for you were born
under a different star and you will forever be
different. Wrap yourself in the things that most see
as odd or unreal. For they know not what they say
and you know what is Golden." [comments] => 4 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Nardo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

You deserve a round of applause for this poem. I totally understand where you are coming from, and I am impressed at how well you expressed yourself in this poem. This is an honest poem about your personal journey through life. The thoughts you express here are of your inner feelings. It gives the poem of feeling of rawness, very true and real. I can tell that you are a person who tries to live in accordance with the truth of yourself. You don't try to be like anyone else, and you listen to your own inner voice of wisdom. That is important I think. I also thought this poem was very refreshing to read because it was so hopeful. A lot of poetry on this site is unoriginal, cliche'd, suicidal poetry, and it gets on my nerves. Also I really liked how you began the poem, talking about comic book heroes. I think that is something that speaks very personally to your life, and it's great that you let us all see that part of yourself. You show a lot of insight about yourself and what is important to you in this poem. Thanks for sharing this.

Be True,
zenmind
