Merry Christmas
Now that the festive season is
upon us, the shadows that stalks
our streets, the lonely, the mad,
the homeless and crippled beggars,
those we pass everyday yet dont
see, are taking centre stage on T.V.
We are told to generously give
so they too can have a Christmas.
Some of us do so we can, if only
briefly, feel good about ourselves.
Come January though, they will be
the unseen once again, sleeping in
shop doorways and begging outside
supermarkets.
