Shut Down and Pushed Away
I can't believe I got shut down
you trampled my heart to the floor
all I wanted was to be with you
but another girl is what you were looking for
I sit in grief
and think about what I have done
to push you away from me
to make you turn and run
my heart is broken
it might have even cracked
all I feel is resentment
it might go away if I would just relax
but I can't
because all I wanted was you
I tried to call to get you to call me
I kind of came on too strong, but what else could I do
I tried to get your attention
I tried to get you to look my way
I just didn't work
because you didn't stay
now you're chasing her
l'm left here out in the cold
because it was her that you wanted
It is you that she will hold
there is no one for me
no one to care
there is no one to want me
no one to be there
I'll fix my heart
make it stronger than before
then I will go on
and fight my raging war
when I have succeeded
and won my own fight
I will find a man for me
and make everything right
we will be together
as lovers and friends
in a story that started "Once upon a time"
and ended with "The End"
