Those onyx wings of mine,
So burnt & charred, like firewood
They no longer flutter so freely,
As my wings have been tied together

It has been days since they’ve let me out,
And even then,
The silver moon has set behind the colossal mountains
Sigh, I miss the moon,
I ache for it’s courtly light to bless my drained skin

I don’t know who they are,
The filthy men that had captured me
So I sit here, with magic binding cuffs
I certainly didn’t think there were smart enough
To bind my magic in these metal traps

My once white dress,
Had turned a hideous brown,
It’s obscured with dirt and musty grime
Rips & tears scatter all around,
From being lashed by a leather whip

I’m imprisoned,
For I know the reason
It’s perhaps my rank in society
Oh, but it finally dawned on me
The blood of royalty is burdened on me

My parents are the King & Queen of Frieveth,
Land of the Magic Folk,
Where true magic dwells through the free air
In Frieveth, we are royalty by marriage
Thankfully, my parents didn’t give in to the demand of my captors

The door of the prison unexpectedly opened
A shadow-clad body stepped inside,
His head slowly, & disturbingly turned
He flashed a horrible smile,
With his chalk white teeth [comments] => 1 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Crimson_Rose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 17 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
