Steal from me my spirit free
And I shall haunt your waking dreams
Moments of lucidity spent hearing silent screams
Visions of disembodied voices
Reflective reasoning relieved
You will feel stones of emotion
Hurtled at your heart
Until your knees grow weak
Before they buckle and break
As you discover they were never really there
In the first place

Tear from me creativity
And I shall exercise that muscle
Back to health and form
Harnessing the energies of kinetic kindness
Distortions of deluded decisions
I will visit terror upon the galleries of glamour
That you find so completely comforting
Van Ghoul will become the artist of choice
Multi-dimensional masterpieces
Desperate measures of feet
Depicting dismembered decay

Strip from me my sanity
And I shall run disrobed
Through your mind
Paying homage to the inner sanctum
That I have worshiped for so long
Leaving offerings of offal
Self-defacing sacrifices
Bile dripping Beethovanesque
Down your honeysuckle walls
And unlike the master I will choose to be deaf
Unable to hear your protestations

Take from me mentality
And I shall occupy a corner of your soul
A black hole feeding on your will
Demagnetizing your desires
Polarizing your pleasures
Tainting your reflective outlook
Emptying your world of precious metals
Painting my presence in poppy colored pastels
Causing introverted interests
Illustrating a withdrawn shell
That you, with me, may share this hell

Separate me from my dreams
And I shall finally
Be at peace

( I don't know where this voice came from, but it spoke for 20 minutes last night and I had to write furiously to keep up, but I think I got it all ... )

Painting my presence in poppy colored pastels

I love this line. Now, buddy you got so much here, and I could go so many different directions with it. A fascinating write worthy of several reads.
Stitch
PS, I think satan is living in these lines.

Last night I also heard "voices".
I think it was from the beans.

It is cool stuff,
glad to see you experimenting
and producing a positive result.
I honestly can't fully fathom this
on one read,
but it's one worth taking a better look at
on paper later on.
Some places remind me of Jim Morrison,
others like Trent Reznor's monologue
on "I Do Not Want This".

Naz, your creative genius just keeps blossoming. This poem is so full of imagery. To tell the truth, it was somewhat overwhelming for me to read.....like there is so much there, I couldn't grasp it all. Which is just further tribute to your talent.

There are poems and there are POEMS! Yours sir, is a POEM

AAAAAAAAA!!!!!! That voice! That ever daunting
voice that visits us in the depths of the unknown. Glad it visited YOU this time. Maybe now it'll leave ME alone!
Great exression of the inner darkness that hides amid us all!

Well, this voice is a bit forbidding, but intriguing. And the piece is very well placed and written. Nicely done, my friend.

Your wording is really quite masterful.

Well i am not sure what "mental channel
surfing" is but whatever it is it produced a
great poem. I enjoyed the alliteration and the
whole thing in general.
