Array ( [sid] => 85793 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A desire for reunion [time] => 2005-02-26 08:26:26 [hometext] => For all the lost loves this poem is a good remedy and read the full poem to find the magic of reunion. [bodytext] => The desire of the lady is expressed below:

His thought has the gladness, and to rejoice at the sight
Even not the palm-tree wine, but the love yields such delight
When love was at its peak, we had its fullness and had a gain
Distrust can find no place, even small as the millet grain

But now, although his will is his only law, he lightly value me
My heart, never rests in peace, unless my lover I really see
Oh friend! I went prepared to show him only a cool disdain
But my heart forgetting all, for its love it cannot restrain

My eyes see not the stick that paints it, nor can I
See any fault, when I behold my lover nigh
When he was with me, to all his faults, I was blind
But now when he is away, nothing but faults only I find

Like those coming to the rescue when plunged into the stream
So do my anger feign, though to his falsehood had a seem
Though the shameful ill it works, dear is the palm-tree wine
To drunkards, traitors and so to me that breast of mine

Now the lover knowing the lady`s desire expresses as below:

Her eyes, as she drew nigh, one day with anger shone
Her love overpowered with tenderness and surpassing my own
Love is tender, as an opening flower and in season due
Has rapture to gain its perfect bliss, which is known only to a few

Now the lover had the rapture, being one of the few and rejoins his lady-love.

very nice poem, great work, i think it's sad in a way, it also has a way of making me speechless, i think it is compelling with awe.
