Array ( [sid] => 86822 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Shades of Light [time] => 2005-03-08 02:56:34 [hometext] => great word play, outright the best poem i`ve ever written [bodytext] =>
when one hears these two they most always think pain
like a letdown when expecting sun and getting just rain
both of these are known to drive people insane
they create fear and praying, and oftentimes games

they do have their differences apparant in light
one is the passion the other is Christ
*one goes by day and the other by night
both can relate to having a fight

they`re both symbolized by the flight of the dove
one free and open, the other a glove
they both can send spirits raising up above
but they can`t coexist, being both death and love

*just a quick note on this line if you like to analyze poems like this. if you`re thinking love is day (light) and death is night (dark), you`re wrong, as love can also be night (dark). the line has a more concrete (hint hint) meaning. What a thought provoking write, it was so nicely written.
I love the way it all flows and the stanza fit all so perfectly well.

Jane ^_^
