As I slit another scar on my wrist
The red liquid, a symbol of my pain
Is liked away by my tounge
With every new cut
A bit of my pain escapes
With every drop of blood down my throat
A bit of hunger is fed
I hunger for retribution
I hunger for peace
I hunger for death
The world is nothing to be proud of
Brothers killing brothers
Countries attacking ally countries
I blame society
They blame bad parenting
For the increase in teen suicides
Well I want to make a difference
I want to open the blind eyes of the world
I want to shout "ARE YOU STUPID!?! YOUR HATE IS SUFFOCATING US!"
But I could shout all I want but no one would hear
So I will let my cutting speak
After all world: Actions speak louder than words
So as I drag the blade again
Red blood meets pink lips and...
The pained words of thousands of dead teens
Flow down my throat

Your words spoke to me as a teenage that feels like this poem depicts. Its such an amazingly original write. Every word held me and I love the feel of the knife slicing my skin. It ease's the pain. Thank you for sharing such a deep and emotionally power poem.........maybe some adults will wake up and realise........

I read this and couldn't help but comment. You are an absolutely amazing writer. I felt my pain (the same pain you feel) come back, and tears actually swelled up in my eyes, especially when you wrote "YOUR HATE IS SUFFOCATING US!" Such a powerful write. Please, keep writing.

It's original, deep, sincere, cultivating, rebellious, intelligent, and it has a hidden dark beauty that will only be understood if you have felt or been in relation to this type of feeling, and I understand every word.

It's great; I liked feeling your pain - If that makes sense.

Keep up the good poetry.
Chris
