Hoping that I might,
Change the things that are not right.
It's unbearable to think,
You're not here.
So long ago
Yet it seems like yesterday
You said you'd be back,
But you never did.
You didn't know when you got into your car,
That another who was drinking too much,
Would be driving.
The doctors said you
Wouldn't make it through the night,
They may have been right,
But you'll always live on in my heart.
You are my best friend.
