Love so sweet yet so sad
my heart desires to express
itself in love regardless
off the odds ahead; but my soul
requires an explanation
for this desire
Love so sweet yet so sad
My soul seeth to a seed of neglect
and a harvest of contempt.
Ah but my heart chooses
to suffer long. . .for is
that not a fruit of love
Love so sweet yet so sad
A worthy reward for my sacrifices
my soul demands, an affectionate ear
and a strong shoulder to lean on
in return for it is seeds
is not love a priceless venture
my heart chides?
Love so sweet yet so sad
people undeserving, people undesirable
not a calibre of my choice my soul screams
Ah but for love my heart recieveth as a sea
all colours and culture, for in her eyes
we be one
Love so sweet yet so sad
