Tongue in the socket
Pump up the volume
To project the rocket

City on the moon
Carved up with a spoon
Shy shaky hands
Make a messy prune

A trip down the drain
Stopped at the brain
Forced all those present
To a pleasant insane

Crying eyes stopped
When the final tear dropped
And fell on the prize
For which they had shopped

Found a new end
To repeat their trend
And lost all the tools
To map their descend

A wing in the wind
Flapping for a friend
Overused and straining
Snapped from the bend [comments] => 1 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Xnoybis [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
