So many things that in my childhood I did lack,
No toys to play with, no rattle to shake
No teddy to cuddle, no cake to bake.
Life was so dull; nothing glittered anymore
So many secrets my heart did boar.
Not one of them was allowed outside my soul
‘Cos if they were, they would leave a hole
And that hole can heal,
A wound my beloved gave me; a wound I can’t conceal.

Going along the road of life, memories falling astray
A thousand secrets, a millions words she did betray
I see her face; can she see mine?
Reflections in the mirror shining so fine.
Walking down the path was a burden for me
It was only my eyes that couldn’t see.
I wanted to move on; leave the past behind
But my soul I just couldn’t seem to find.
A blur each day; I felt in a daze
A monotone life, all in a haze.

Going along the road of life, memories falling apart
A place for her will always be held in my heart.
All alone here I’m seated
My heart, I feel is constantly defeated.
So many times I turned to her
When I was happy and when I was blue.
But she just walked away from me
My sorrow she never did see.
I tried to talk to her each and every day
But never once did she ever come my way.

A million words can never heal
What wound I’ll forever have to conceal,
I thought that together we’d walk the way home
But today, I’ll only walk that road alone.

great wirte, it had a nice flow to it. what would beauty be without the pain we feel in life, no one likes pain but i think it helps us appreciate the beauty in this world more. Anyway good job.

well written. good job continuing the metaphor or walking throughout the poem. the only negative is that it did not flow well for me and i got lost and had to reread several times, also it tends to be a little repetative but overall very good.
