Array ( [sid] => 8923 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Best Friends [time] => 2002-12-20 11:20:00 [hometext] => this is a poem that i wrote to get my feelings out that happened to me that was a huge set off and i think that everybody has mainly gone through it to! [bodytext] => Best friends are the people that you know best.

They are the happiest people ever.

Always going around everywhere together.

You would never expect them to ever fight about something.

Since everybody figures that they are the same person.

But when one of them notices that nobody knows who she really is……

Everything starts to fall apart.

She starts to cry a lot.

Her parents don’t get what’s wrong.

They try to fix what they think is right.

But they are only making things worse.

People ask what’s wrong.

But she won’t tell.

Afraid that she’ll cry even harder than all the other times.

But then when she finally tells…..

The people that she thought that weren’t really her friends

say that they know what she is going through.

That she’ll get better.

Her best friend doesn’t even know what’s going on,

And starts to get mad.

Everything becomes stressful.

Everything becomes distant.

The silence goes on.

And the stress continues for the girl.

But then she starts to see the good side.

That she’s finally free from a best friend.

She gets happier…

But she still feels lonely.

More people want to help her.

She accepts.

Thinking that she’ll get the story out of her,

To relieve the stress that’s building up inside of her.

It helps a little.

But now they are saying that she has to talk to her “best friend”,

About what’s going on.

She can’t.

She’s afraid that she’ll break down crying in front of her.

She doesn’t want to cry anymore.

Too much hurt and pain come from crying.

But now that she’s got new friends that want to help her.

She goes out with them more.

And everything starts to get clearer now.

She’s happier.

So she makes up with her friend,

And they become friends.

JUST friends.

Everything is in the past now.

But she still thinks that people think of them as one person.

Hoping that they’ll accept her as who she really is.

And not just some skitzo side of her friend.

And not some one that she’s made up.

As an imaginary friend.

UNREAL.

But someday she’ll find out who she really is.
