High above the canopies, she gaily does fly,
Her eyes show signs of guilt, mirrored with lies
Inside she is screaming, even specters can hear her cries.

Blackness descends; the sun says its goodnight
Stars glittering far away, no one is seen in sight
She looks around frantically, all is as dead as night
Nothing to comfort her from life's cruel fights.

Shadows pierce the dark; she trembles with fear
Quiet footsteps towards her she can hear,
Hands reach out; by their touch her heart does sear
"Come...come....come out with us, my dear"

Her breath flows faster; she tries hard to shout
But no one can hear her; it's just a whisper that comes out,
Her heart beats wildly; why isn't there anybody about?
Whether she'll get out alive, she highly doubts.

She can hear screams; her spirit is free to roam
Lying on the ground; her body is as rigid as stone,
Finally realizing that she's gone; she's gone to a new home
But they made a mistake; they killed one of their own.
