I think everyone feels this way or another when your parents ignore you or do other things when you reli want to talk to them. I know I sure do~ [bodytext] => Dad, I don't think you understand how I feel inside
All my true feelings and guilt I am trying hard to hide,
Cos if you saw the truth, oh how mad you would get
I wish all the sorrow and pain you would forget

I'm sorry that I could never live up to your expectations
All the time, I would constantly be under your interrogation
I put on a smile, but what does a pack of lies gain?
Cos inside, my soul was hurting, I was screaming in pain.

A million words can never explain what I meant to you
Was I ever a daughter, a son? Do you know who?
A thousand tears I have cried, but they can never repair
What wounds my heart do hold, a soul that feels so bare.

You always got so angry when I did something wrong
My life hanging beneath dark clouds; never bursting into song,
You told me everything was so easy; all just a simple breeze
But while you were living in comfort zones, I was sailing on open seas.

And whenever I was lost Mum, I always turned to you
But you never stopped to listen; no, I don't think you even have a clue,
I know you've got so many other things on your mind
But sometimes I really wish that you were always by my side.

When I was little, every night you used to sing to me
Oh, I would do anything to have that back, don't you see?
And can't you see the pain and anguish mirrored in my eyes
Words that are left unspoken, flowing with guilt and lies.

Tonight, I sit here all alone; quietly playing with the knife
Unleashing all my worries to its blade, caused by distress and strife
You failed to understand me for the person that I was
In time of your darkness, it was really me who was lost.

And so every day, I'll pray for you, hoping one day you will see
That maybe a little care and comfort would have been able to save me,
But right now, I guess my time is up; it's nearly going to be seven
I'll be thinking of you as I walk through the gates to heaven.
