(The one's that yelled to you in the night.)
They all go up to kiss the sky.
Your screaming to them that it's getting late.
And there's no such thing as magic.

You walk across an empty floor.
Cursing as thoughts of bed return.
Noticing abruptly the state of your screen door.
It's wide open, impossible because you have learned.
There's no such thing as magic.

A breath of wind that carries a voice.
As a woman from no where asks you who you are.
You'd go right back inside if it was your choice.
But the wind has already decided it's time for you to see the stars...impossible.
There's no such thing as magic.

As you drift just above the ground.
You see a cloud of smoke flooding the eastern sky.
All purples and blues and covered in star dust, but it isn't allowed.
You decide you must be tired, just sleep deprived...
Because there is no such thing as magic.

And the children who are playing high in the sky.
Shout at you from the stretching clouds.
Telling you to try and remember a time.
When deep in you, magic was still alive.
You can't there's no such thing as magic.

And as the cloud seams to swallow the children alive.
And as you get nearer to touching the sky.
You squeeze your eye's shut with all of your might.
Holding onto the thought that magic was always a lie.
(There's no such thing as magic.)
(Who's there?)
(There's no such thing as magic...)
